Title of the position: Sr Manager / AGM – State Head

Reporting to: Head of Department

Location: Ahmedabad

SBU: DevCo

Role: Project Development – Activities wrt to all the development related works for the Project specifically Permits, Licenses, Approvals, Land Acquisition, Power Evacuation. Various Compliances under the PPA, other regulatory requirements. Liasion with Govt Officials for the project requirements.

Detailed Job Description: The person in this role is expected to be responsible for the following deliverables –

  • Plan and execute project development activities
  • Clearance, Permits & Approvals for the SPV
  • Land acquisition: Private, Govt Revenue
  • Power evacuation – study, fianlising and implementation of scheme
  • Other related activities incidental for the project
  • Liasion with Govt Officials for the project requirements (GEDA, GETCO, PCB, SPIA etc.)
  • Compliances for the PPA, Environmental & other requirements, other agencies

Qualification Requirement: BE (MBA preferable)

Experience: 10 to 12 years of experience in power sector, preferred solar industry experience in similar role.

Key Evaluation Criteria:

  • Understanding of land acquisition laws and rules, regulatory issues & liasioning

Department: Distributed Solar

Title of the position: Assistant Manager / Deputy manager

Reporting to: Manager – Proposals

Location: New Delhi

SBU: Distributed Solar

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of techno commercial proposals for rooftop & ground mounted projects
  • Electrical Design- Array Layout, Single Line Diagrams, PV Syst. Reports, BoM
  • Directing the draftsman to optimize designs for alternative, more cost effective solutions
  • Managing the preparation and completion of Pre-Qualification Questionnaires (PQQ’s), Invitation to Tenders, RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, E-Procurements and tender documents in alignment with customer requirements
  • Take regular updates from procurement team on new products and updated pricing
  • To ensure zero variance in the costing provided during proposal stage and in execution stage
  • To submit a detailed response to the enquiry documentation and provide answers/responses to any subsequent requests for clarification in a timely & efficient manner
  • Reviewing drawings and technical backup information to be submitted
  • Preparing and following up on tender clarification submissions
  • To work with Business Development Managers or customer prospect to ascertain the enquiry information necessary to produce techno-commercial proposals including preliminary engineering design, quotation document and costing through standardized costing templates and technical specifications
  • Maintain tracker for the proposals submitted to the BD team

Qualification Requirement: B. Tech. (EE/EI/EC)


  • 3+ years in electrical design/proposal & cost- estimation in solar industry
  • Multi-tasking, self-motivated individual
  • Computer skills, PV Syst., Metenorm, AutoCAD, Knowledge of drawing standards, Electrical Sizing, Sketch-up Pro (Preferred), Knowledge of Taxation & Government policies

Reporting to: Head (Business Development – Distributed Solar)

Location: Hyderabad, Bengaluru

SBU: Distributed Solar

Role: Regional Head – Business Development (South) – To ensure sustainable business growth for Susten’s Distributed Solar business by managing business development, channel development, cultivating key strategic relationships & meeting stakeholders’ expectations.

Detailed Job Description:

  • Business and Channel Development –
    • Lead the overall sales process and project delivery in the assigned region, from lead generation to successful completion & commercial closure
    • Prepare the market approach strategy for each state in line with yearly business targets
    • Work with and expand current prospect database to generate effective leads & convert them with desired profitability
    • Respond to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) in a professional and timely manner
    • Develop and manage channel partners for the specified region
    • Manage Key Accounts
  • Market Development and Industry Representation –
    • Prepare monthly updates for the region – Competitor activity, new business models, policy updates
    • Provide feedback on emerging business trends and best industry practices with a view to refine the business model, delivery and distribution channels
    • Liasoning with key accounts and government agencies
    • Represent at industry events, including round tables, speaking forums & other events
  • Team Development –
    • Mentoring & guidance to the team to achieve business targets
    • Driving learning and development for team, and planning for their career growth plans

Qualification Requirement:MBA (Sales & Marketing) + B. Tech / B.E. – Electrical / Civil / Mechanical
