Role: Senior Consultant (Solar)
Contract: Permanent – Full-Time
Location: Delhi
Salary: Competitive/Dependent on Experience
Key prerequisite: Eligible to work in India


  •  7+ years of experience in a similar role with a utility, consultancy, developer, contractor, or equipment supplier
  •  Understanding of EPC/O&M Contractual suites and related technical risks for both Owners and Lenders
  •  Degree level or above in Engineering or Science
  •  General technical knowledge of the design, operations and maintenance of PV electrical and mechanical systems
  •  Strong interest in renewables
  •  Ability to line manage a team of consultants under pressure
  •  Independence, flexibility, and ability to prioritise and deliver under tight deadlines
  •  Excellent Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills
  •  Ability to network and develop business with a variety of clients including developers and financiers
  •  Ability to effectively identify the needs of clients and prepare winning proposals
  •  Ability to formulate ideas, analyse, problem solve, and communicate results clearly
  •  Strong attention to detail
  •  Excellent team-working and communication skills
  •  Excellent report writing skills using clear and concise written English
  •  Desire and motivation to develop, test and deliver new solutions to our Clients, and to keep up with / be ahead of industry best practice, with a solution-focussed attitude
  •  Willingness to work cross discipline (solar, onshore wind, offshore wind, biomass)
  •  Willingness to travel and work in India and at our other offices, including overseas, to remote areas, or to meetings
  •  Eligibility to live and work in India
  •  Provide input into and support OST Energy’s training / culture / QA / marketing culture and overall business philosophy.


  •  Further education or second degree in electrical engineering or related discipline
  •  Technical consultancy experience
  •  Experience of the delivery of a project financial close
  •  Detailed understanding of project development economics and project finance
  •  Line management experience
  •  Cross disciplinary knowledge, e.g. wind, biomass, conventional combustion technologies
  •  Knowledge of CSP technology and projects
  •  Experience working with Multilateral Development Banks
  •  Chartered engineer with relevant industry body
  •  Membership of specialist industry groups / panels / conferences
  •  Additional Language skills
